Raat Hone ko hai

Rangilla: PS. What happens to us when we die? Do we disappear… or do we survive in some manner, able to return? Do you believe in ghosts? In vampires? Can someone communicate with their loved ones even when they have passed away? Have you ever stayed in a haunted house? Think about your own house --- do you know if someone died there, an earlier occupant, died in the very bed that you lie in? Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night sweating, feeling that someone is watching you, but there is no one there? What if someone could give you whatever you wished – what price would you be willing to pay – your soul? Does the full moon actually have any effect on certain people? Are you really in control of your life, or is someone pulling the strings with magic? How would you react if you looked in the mirror and saw that your reflection was acting differently from you? How is it that some people remember past lives with stunning details, are able to talk in languages that they have never heard before? What happens every night when we dream --- are our dreams just nonsense, or are our souls traveling out of our bodies, having strange experiences? Is there any truth to possession or is it just another form of madness? If you believe that God exists, doesn’t that also mean that the Devil exists too? No one knows the answers to any of these for sure…. But there is one thing that everyone knows --- between the dusk that signals the end of a day, and the dawn that signifies the start of a new one… Raat Hone ko Hai… Raat Hone ko Hai is an anthology series of stories based on the supernatural and the paranormal, fantasy premises laced with the razor edge of a thriller. Raat Hone ko Hai will deal with stories of ghosts, ghouls, ESP, witches, reincarnation, spirits, vampires, out of body experiences, life after death and other aspects of the surreal, magical and mysterious which traverse the boundaries of the supernatural genre– and that is just the tip of the iceberg. All these are in a format where each story runs over a week for four episodes, so that the audience gets a new chiller thriller week after week. The aim is never to drag or let the pace waver, but grab the audience by the scruff of the neck and seat them glued in front of the TV set – and keep them spellbound, terrified and amazed. And keep giving them new exciting unpredictable stories that bring them back every week. Unlike horror shows that depend on gruesome violence and horrifying masks and blood and gore, Raat Hone ko Hai is conceptualized as a show that will avoid all of this – and rely more on strong story telling and treatment in order to attract a mass audience that includes families and children too. The treatment will be dramatic, with the emphasis on spine tingling suspense so that each episode is a frantic roller coaster ride with a thrilling and ascending momentum, peppered with terrifying moments, state of the art special effects, all this held together by a backbone of strong plots that are taut, terrifying, tightly woven and littered with unpredictable twists and turns right till the end credits roll. While the West boasts of great supernatural shows like The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, The X files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc – In India there have been very few shows that have reached that level of popularity. Raat Hone ko Hai is brought to you by the same team that created India’s most successful – critically and commercially -- supernatural show ever – Aahat, which for over six years terrified and stunned audiences into watching night after night and reached ratings that were unseen till then. Even now Aahat in its reruns still has a tremendous following and has become a cult show – just as Raat Hone ko Hai is all set to become. The team that made history with Aahat is all set to repeat it with Raat Hone ko Hai. So, as the skies darken outside, turn on the TV set and curl up in your blankets and shawls and feel the chill crawl up your spine as you get ready for the most thrilling, chilling, terrifying, amazing, exciting, magical, surreal, scary and mysterious ride of your life… because tonight…and four weeknights in a week RAAT HONE KO HAI!!!!!
